National CPR and AED Awareness Week aims to prepare more Americans to be able to save a life by knowing CPR and how to use an AED.

The federal designation to observe a week of CPR and AED awareness was enacted on December 13, 2007. This resolution passed unanimously through congress, and since then, the week of June 1-7 has been used to highlight the life-saving benefits of knowing CPR or how to use an AED.

As educators and health providers, it’s our duty to promote this awareness in our communities and provide ways that the public can learn.

With the public spending more time at home than ever before, it is especially important to reinforce essential CPR and AED knowledge.

While waiting to participate in an in-person course or skills test, individuals who are seeking to maintain a course completion card status may participate in an interactive ECSI online course (e.g., Health Care Provider CPR Interactive) to refresh cognitive information, skills sequencing, and other treatment recommendations.

To help reinforce these knowledge-based competencies, ECSI is offering 50% off our interactive online courses for a limited time only.
